.......... The AUC's Divescapes Scuba Conference 2012 was held at the Oasis Conference Centre, Edmonton on Oct 19 - 21st, 2012.

You asked for it..... The AUC Divescapes volunteers & AUC Board of Directors are hard at work tweaking the budget & hope to host another Divescapes Scuba Conference with an announcement to come later this year (2013) with tentative date for the fall of 2014 (budget willing).

Divescapes? What is it?

For those of you who haven't attended one before-it is the

ALBERTA UNDERWATER COUNCIL'S Scuba Conference & Exhibition".

This extensive event, brings right to your own backyard, an underwater trade show venue bringing divers, travel agents, tourism boards, manufacturers, resort & boat charter operators and dive store retailers together into western Canada's largest scuba conference.

Plus, you'll enjoy the Keynote speakers, of which previous speakers included some of the dive industry's best known & popular personalities, underwater visionaires like ..............

In 2012: Jim & Pat Stayer, Michael Pitts, Mike Fletcher, Scott Wilson, Tom Wilson, Donnie Reid, Peter Luckham, John McCuaig.

And in 2009: Jill Heinrich, Barb Roy, Howie Robbins, Jeffery Gallant, Ray Agterbos, returning favourites: Mandy-Rae Cruickshank, Dr. Andy Lamb, John McCuaig.

And what a lineup: It will be a challenge to try to top the Scuba Industry personalities, accomplished underwater photographers, explorers, TV Producers, travelled to Edmonton in 2012

COURSES? - in 2012 there was UW Photo Workshop & PSI Visual Inspection Courses. Courses were held on Friday or Sunday during the day so as not to conflict with the incredible Divescapes presenters/seminars on Friday evening and all day Saturday's seminars culminating with Saturday evening's social cocktails, Sawmill's Famous Buffet Banquet and FILM Show with keynote speakers: Pat & Jim Stayor (Michigan) and Emmy Award winning: Michael Pitts (GB).

All tickets will be reasonably priced, so here is your chance to see it all under one roof ......without traveling many thousands of kilometers away from Alberta.

So what will all this cost? A lot less than you'd think. As many of you know - you can pay as much as $500 for one day professional conference in your field.
