9:00 am Registration & Waivers
10:00 am Dive Safety Briefing
12:00 pm Lunch Break (BYOL - Bring your own Lunch/drinks)
1:00 pm 2nd dive if wanted & conditions allow
3:00 pm Clean-up site, document & remove trash collected to Park garbage bins, pack-up dive gear, etc.
Please Come out to collect some trash underwater and help keep our Alberta lakes, rivers, and waterways & National Parks debris free!

NOTE:
1) Hope to have parking fee waived for volunteer divers & shore suppport
2) Divers need to bring garden cart to pack gear down to lake edge - it's a hike!
3) Divers, please keep together & gear up at one or two picnic tables, then enter water after Dive Safety Briefing.

COVID-19 Protocols to be followed IF APPLICABLE:

Limit the numbers of participants via pre-registration (20 Divers maximum & 8-10 Shore Support Volunteers)

Minimize interaction and require all participants to maintain physical distance of at least 2 meters (6 ft)

Check temperatures (hand-held thermometer on site) and confirm that no one participates if feeling ill

WAIVERS & RISK AWARENESS FORMS for both scuba diving and COVID-19 must be read & voluntarily signed prior to participation

Contact details (name, phone #, email) must be provided for contact tracing afterwards if required

Sanitizing of registration surfaces and encourage hand sanitizing/washing soap/water through-out the event

Encourage use of individual face masks/coverings during Registration, Dive Safety Briefing, during Dive Buddy Gear Checks, etc.

Encourage divers to handle only their own equipment, must sanitize before and after if assisting another (unless established cohorts or family members

Encourage divers to stay at least 2 meters away from others when clearing their nose, sinuses or throat at the lake surface or after a dive

Encourage frequent hand washing after handling & documenting trash collected

NO FOOD or DRINKS PROVIDED – participants must bring their own

Anyone with increased risk of severe COVID-19 for themselves or family members should be encouraged not to participate
Divers, Please Remember to Bring:

All your dive gear and tanks (at least 1 or more) - BCD, regulators, dry-suit/wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, boots, weights, weight belt, dive computer, hood, gloves (contact your favourite AB Local Dive Shop (LDS) for gear rentals if required)

Other dive gear that you will find useful to bring: dive light, writing slate, compass, a tarp to change on

Small Garden Wagon to haul all your dive gear via gravel path from parking lot to lakeside

Your certification card and logbook

Warm clothing, even if the sun is shining, be prepared for typical Alberta weather which could include rain, snow, and everything in between

MUST bring your own Lunch or snack, water, juice, etc., no food/lunch/drink provided due to COVID

Lawn chair, bug spray, sunscreen

Small amount of cash for potential raffle draws (if available)

PROVIDED: AUC will provide mesh bags for trash & an emergency cutting device for all lake cleanup volunteer divers!

Remember: Please keep scuba gear tidy & respect others right to use the park. Limit our footprint to just one or two picnic sites.
Must bring or rent all your own scuba gear, plus 1-2 tanks. PLUS: a small garden wagon works best to haul gear!
Surprise Raffles for donated prized from sponsors like our local generous dive shops are often available so bring your cash!! Want a 2nd dive after?? Possible if conditions favourable but 2nd dive is not supervised and your on your own.
