Camp n Dive Wkend - Twin Lakes

Event: Enjoy a fun weekend camping out and diving at the famous - Twin Lakes Dive Facility.
​
Camping at Lions Pioneer Park Campground in the Community of Winfield. We are in the unreserved group area. Look for the dive flag. The group site does not have power water or sewer. But if needed, some hook-ups might be available.
Friday: Most campers arrive after 5:00 pm on Friday.
Saturday: Buddy Teams arrange for dives at Twin Lakes on Saturday. Hopefully, Wing Divers can guide those new to the site.
Saturday 7 PM: Pot-luck Supper: Our potluck dinner is a wonderful gathering of hungry divers and guests, with tons of amazing food. This is the part of the weekend where the group really comes together to laugh, relax, tease, re-hash the day, plan more diving, swap tall tales, meet new dive buddies and build great friendships. Bring your favorite campfire food and stories to share. Some folks bring deserts, some bring a meat dish, some bring salads, and some bring veggies or carbs. We never know what’s for supper, but it’s always good, and there’s always lots to eat.
Sunday: Pancake Breakfast on Sunday 8 am - provided by Wing Divers Club, with a few planned dives possible on Sunday am, then pack up & travel home.

DIVE EVENT & Safety Protocols to be followed (where applicable):

​ LIMITED numbers of participants via PRE-REGISTRATION Required for Divers and/or Family or Shore Support Volunteers

MUST have COLD-WATER dive experience prior to registering

WAIVERS/RISK AWARENESS FORMS must be read & voluntarily signed prior to participation (everyone, no exceptions)

MUST BE PRESENT at Dive Safety Briefing prior to participating in event dive(s)

MUST follow standard dive safety guidelines & all directions of event organizers

COVID/PUBLIC HEALTH: Minimize interaction and maintain physical distance of at least 2 meters (6 ft)

COVID/PUBLIC HEALTH: IF COVID signs/symptoms present or suspected - do not participate, protect yourself and others

Note: Overnight Camping: Lions Campground in Winfield, AB as it has a group area & slightly better facilities than the campground at the lake.
(Note: Twin Lakes Campground is first come basis only. There are 60 sites, no hook-ups, no reservations, $27/unit/night.)

Divers, Remember to Bring:

All your dive gear and tanks (at least 2 or more) - BCD, regulators, drysuit/wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, boots, weights, dive computer, hood, gloves, dive knife

Other dive gear that you will find useful to bring: dive light, writing slate, compass, a tarp to change on

Your certification card and logbook

Warm clothing, even if the sun is shining, be prepared for typical Alberta weather which could include rain, snow, and everything in between

ALLERGIES?? Please bring your own lunch or snack, juice/water

Lawn chair, bug spray, sunscreen

Small amount of cash for registration fees, raffle draws, airfills (if available)
