Time: 10:00am, Meet at Cameron Bay & Gear Up, 10:45 AM Dive Briefing, 2 PM: 2nd Dive (if we're not frozen)

What: 1st Dive of the Season -  It's that time to get things started and get wet... Let's open the season with a friendly dive in Waterton at out favourite spot on the beach, weather permitting!  We will be watching the weather and will confirm, change, or cancel the event as needed through the Facebook event page and email.

DIVE EVENT & Safety Protocols to be followed

 

 Please NOTE: LIMITED numbers of participants available (for most events) via PRE-REGISTRATION Required for Divers

​

  • MUST have COLD-WATER dive experience prior to registering 

  • WAIVERS/RISK AWARENESS FORMS must be read & voluntarily signed prior to participation (everyone, no exceptions please)

  • MUST BE PRESENT at Dive Safety Briefing prior to participating in event dive(s)  PLEASE Don't be late!

  • MUST follow standard dive safety guidelines & all directions of event organizers​​​​

  • COVID/PUBLIC HEALTH: If applicable - minimize interaction and maintain physical distance of at least 2 meters (6 ft) 

  • COVID/PUBLIC HEALTH:  IF COVID signs/symptoms present or suspected - do not participate, protect yourself and others 

Divers, Remember to Bring:
  • All your dive gear and tanks - at least one tank, BCD, regulators, dry-suit/wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, boots, weights, dive computer, hood, gloves, plus a small tarp to change on

  • Other dive gear that you will find useful to bring: dive light, writing slate, compass, a small tarp

  • Your certification card and logbook 

  • Warm clothing, even if the sun is shining, be prepared for typical Alberta weather which could include rain, snow, and everything in between

  • Most events no longer include food and water, bring your own lunch/snack/juice plus any special dietary requirement

  • Lawn chair, bug spray, sunscreen

  • Small amount of cash for registration fees, raffle draws, etc.
